Role Description The Senior Tax Manager will lead and review complex tax engagements, including individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns, as well as related planning initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing tax compliance, providing technical guidance on tax law, managing client relationships, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver timely, accurate work. The role involves identifying tax planning opportunities, resolving technical issues, and presenting clear recommendations to clients and team members. This is a part-time role with a hybrid work arrangement; the position is based in San Clemente, CA, with some flexibility for working from home.
Qualifications
- Strong tax planning skills, including experience developing strategies to optimize tax positions and support client financial goals.
- Proficiency in tax compliance and tax preparation for various entity types, with the ability to review and oversee complex returns.
- Solid knowledge of tax law and regulations, including the ability to interpret changes and apply them to client situations.
- Broad expertise in tax concepts and practices, ensuring a candidate can manage comprehensive tax matters and engagements.
