PRN Direct Support Professional (DSP) – As Needed
Location: Boundless Mercy Group Home – Galax, VA
Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour
Schedule: PRN / As Needed (Days, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays as Available)

Position Summary
We are seeking dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to join our PRN team. This position is ideal for someone looking for extra hours, supplemental income, or a flexible schedule. PRN staff are utilized to cover call-outs, vacations, appointments, increased staffing needs, and other scheduling gaps.
The right candidate is reliable, adaptable, and willing to step in when needed to help ensure continuity of care for the individuals we support.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living
- Support community outings, recreation, and engagement activities
- Prepare meals and assist with household tasks
- Administer medications as trained and certified
- Complete required documentation and shift notes
- Monitor health, safety, and behavioral support plans
- Provide companionship, encouragement, and positive reinforcement
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass background checks and required screenings
- Reliable transportation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
Preferred Certifications
(Current certifications are a plus, but training may be available)
- CPR/First Aid
- Medication Administration
- G-Tube Experience
- Behavioral Support Experience
