Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of premises to monitor for suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards
• Operate access control systems to manage entry and exit points for authorized personnel and visitors
• Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to monitor activity across different areas and respond swiftly to any anomalies
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events
• Perform background checks on potential employees or contractors as part of the onboarding process
• Respond promptly to emergency situations using established procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies to resolve issues peacefully and professionally
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for security setups or emergency response equipment
• Perform routine inspections of security equipment including CCTV systems, fire extinguishers, and alarms to ensure operational readiness
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to support law enforcement activities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, firearm handling, and conflict de-escalation preferred
• Strong knowledge of physical security measures including CCTV operation, access control systems, and surveillance techniques
• Ability to perform background checks accurately and efficiently when required
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and conflict management
• Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties including standing for extended periods and heavy lifting when needed
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential
• Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly while maintaining professionalism
