Overview
The Irrigation Manager is responsible for the efficient and timely irrigation and fertilization management of the company’s olive orchards. Also responsible for planning and overseeing all installation activities, project management, engineering designs, repairs and maintenance of all irrigation related infrastructure and systems

Key Accountabilities

• Supervise and lead the irrigation team while actively participating in the weekly irrigation meetings and daily tasks.
• Train new and existing irrigation technicians and evaluate their performance to maintain quality work practices of Irrigation supervisors and officers.
• Ensure proper use and care of company vehicles, equipment and tools assigned to/used by assigned Irrigation supervisors and officers.
• Regularly monitor irrigation systems on all Company properties while working to ensure adequate andefficient irrigation. Report system damage or improvements needed
• Communicate updates on any damage or improvement needs to direct manager.
• Perform and monitor regular irrigation inspections across all sites and create a report with condition and proposal for resolution of issues as required.
• Install and repair new and used irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoots irrigation systems to determine repair or replacement solutions
• Pull and fit piping for new and used irrigation systems within approved budgets.
• Purchase parts required to repair, create, or renovate irrigation systems.
• Activate and deactivate irrigation systems according to seasonal schedules operational priorities.
• Ensure irrigation jobs are managed within budget and on time.
• Manage upkeep of irrigation systems in designated groves.
• Coordinate with and direct laborer where needed on irrigation projects/jobs.
• Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies.
• Responsible for the drafting, execution and management of operational and capital expenditure irrigation and fertigation budgets.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Attributes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams and with external partners.
• Must have 3-4 years of experience in a similar role with experience in installation, modification, maintenance, repair and operation of manual, smart and automated irrigation systems within a large scale horticultural setting.
• Must have Class C License
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Travel to and from grove locations
• Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and readiness for change as Cobram Estate USA continues to expand and adapt during our growth.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
