Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales
- Oversee cashiering activities, ensuring accurate cash handling and POS transactions
- Lead and motivate staff through effective training, employee orientation, and performance evaluations
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate purchasing and pricing strategies to optimize profitability
- Implement marketing initiatives to promote store products and services
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to meet sales targets
- Conduct interviews, participate in recruiting efforts, and assist with onboarding new employees
- Maintain organized records of payroll, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
- Enforce store policies related to safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards
Requirements
- Proven management or assistant manager experience in retail or grocery store environments
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS software, and retail math
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, pricing strategies, and sales management
- Knowledge of budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and store operations
- Ability to handle negotiations with vendors and suppliers
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Capable of managing shift schedules and time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in retail sales, marketing initiatives, or wireless sales is advantageous
- Organizational skills combined with the ability to train & develop staff for continuous improvement
