We are looking for an experienced Client Care Specialist to join our Logan Square team! We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year of RECENT experience in a veterinary setting who thrives with multi-tasking, loves problem solving and leads with a helpful, "can-do" attitude. Developing client relationships and making people feel welcome will be one of your most important responsibilities. You’ll also have many administrative duties in helping maintain medical records, checking clients in and out, and orchestrating clear and accurate communication with both clients, doctors, and teammates.

Engaging clients, computer efficacy and professional phone etiquette are essential to your role at Boulevard, as well as a talent for multitasking and team work. Compassion for animals and a a strong interest in veterinary medicine is also a must. Training consists of being paired with 1 or 2 senior CCS for 4 weeks to get accustomed to the protocols at BLVD Vet and ensure you have the skills you need to succeed. This is not a sink or swim culture - we want to set you up for success with individualized training and attention. Efficiency and hard work are expected but you will be supported by modern, cloud-based practice management software, an engaged management team and opportunities for full benefits including PTO, continuing education stipend, Health Insurance and 401k. Pay is competitive and based on experience, education and previous professional accomplishments. Ideal candidates are flexible on which location they can work at.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with clients and coworkers in a professional and productive manner.
  • Ability to calmly and safely interact with dogs and cats.
  • Excellent attention to detail and task management.
  • Able to multitask throughout the day while maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Ability to efficiently transition between and manage in person, phone and email client communications.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite Applications, electronic health record systems, scheduling software. (We are cloud based with electronic records, so effective and efficient use of computers is a must.)
  • Proficient at typing and transcribing information accurately and efficiently.
  • Professional and polite phone etiquette.
  • Professional, polite, and grammatically correct written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and memorize common veterinary medical terminology and routine small animal wellness protocols.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift, crouch, sit, and walk throughout your shift.
  • Tolerant of loud noises.
  • Ability to work 10 hour shifts and four shifts per week if full time.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
