This is a full-time, on-site role for an Activities Assistant located in Boynton Beach, FL. The Activities Assistant will be responsible for planning and leading recreational activities, coordinating group events, and ensuring the emotional and social well-being of residents. The role requires effective communication with residents and their families, assisting with elder care needs, and maintaining a safe and engaging environment. The Activities Assistant will also collaborate with other team members to create programs that promote wellness, engagement, and overall quality of life for residents.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills for interacting with residents, families, and staff
- Abilities and experience in coordinating Recreation and group activities
- Experience with Elder Care and understanding of the needs of an aging population
- Training skills to assist in onboarding and guiding new staff or volunteers
- Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple activities
- Positive attitude, patience, and empathy to create a welcoming and supportive environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in recreation or elder care activities are a plus
