Position Details:
Department: Convalescent Care
Reports to: Clinical Director
Schedule/Type: PRN - onsite/hourly
Days: Monday-Friday, variable
Shifts: 12-hour shifts available - Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. | Night Shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Wage: $50/hr.
Night Shift Differential: Additional $7/hr. for shifts worked from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Bonus Eligibility: No

What You'll Do
- Provide expert postoperative care and monitor patient recovery
- Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and the care team on individualized plans
- Manage pain and symptoms, administer medications, and use non-medication interventions
- Perform wound care and educate patients and families on recovery at home
- Document care accurately and uphold infection control and safety standards
- Offer emotional support to help patients feel confident and cared for
What We're Looking For
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability in fast-paced settings
- Knowledge of surgical recovery and ability to spot complications early
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to patient privacy, data accuracy, and safety protocols
Requirements
- Nursing degree (Bachelor's preferred)
- Current Colorado RN license
- BCLS & ACLS certification
- 2 years experience as an RN in a professional medical setting required, orthopedic care experience (strongly preferred)
