Custodian

Reports To: Facilities Director Status of Position: Full TimeAll Roads (which operates Boulder Shelter for the Homeless) has been a fixture in the community since 1982, providing a bed, meals, services and dignity to those experiencing homelessness in our community. Our mission is to create avenues to stable housing for our community’s homeless adults, from a foundation of safe shelter and supportive services. All Roads has a strong culture of collaboration, communication, creativity, compassion and support, which yields an inclusive and engaging dynamic within the organization. Job Summary: All Roads is seeking a custodian to work with the custodial team to maintain overall cleanliness of the shelter building and grounds. The custodian will provide and maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for All Roads staff, volunteers, and clients. Primary Responsibilities: General cleaning of common areas and resident dormitories.Clean flooring.Empty trash and recycling.Stock paper products, soap dispensers, and other amenities.Clean bathrooms, including power wash.Landscape litter removal and maintenance.Snow shoveling when needed.Assist Facilities Director with as-needed projects, equipment maintenance, updates and adjustments to fixtures and/or appliances, moving furniture, etc.Represents All Roads in alignment with our mission and core values: treat all with dignity, offer support and opportunity, achieve results through competence and creativity, and practice responsible stewardship.Qualifications: Effective communication and strong ability to work with a team.Experience with some cleaning equipment is preferred.Attention to detail, ability to learn, and openness to new experiences.Ability to access and use IT platforms such as email and online payroll database.Maintain professional, safe boundaries in all interactions with clients and staff.Frequently move 35-50 pounds, operate light machinery, move about in different workspaces, climb ladders, and occasionally work outdoors in all elements.Compensation: starts at $23.00 per hour.
