We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Summary

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is currently seeking Medical Assistant (MA) candidates to join our Pediatric Team! This is benefit eligible working 38 hours per week in Boulder and Longmont.

Job Duties

• Provides comprehensive professional nursing care to individuals and/or families acting as the patient's advocate, facilitator, and educator.
• Recognizes, evaluates, and responds to emergency or unusual situations in the clinic, using nursing judgment to ensure medical care.
• Assists the patient and/or instructs the patient in preparation for the provider's examination and/or specific treatment.
• Prepares examination/treatment rooms for provider's use by ensuring that appropriate supplies, equipment and instruments are available and ready on a daily basis. Maintains examination/treatment rooms in a neat and orderly manner.
• Assists the provider with examination by anticipating needs for instruments and supplies. (e.g., minor surgery, pelvic examinations, diagnostic procedures, etc.)
  
  

Required Experience

• Must be able to recognize and identify patient's symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment in course of action.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel to and work at all four (4) BMC sites, as assigned.
• Must be available by phone to accept assignment changes as needed.
  
  

Education Requirements(one Of The Following Options)

• Completion of Medical Assistant education. *Certification is not required but preferred.
• Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medial Assistant specific credentials. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medial Assistant specific credentials.
• College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medial Assistant specific credentials.*College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.
  
  

Experience

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred
  
  

The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience:

• $18.91 - $23.50/hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $27.54)
  
  

This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
