Qualifications:
To qualify, applicants must possess one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 (ZT-III) at NIST level.Specialized experience is defined as oversight and administration of contractual and engineering requirements for construction and maintenance projects, including:
- Reviewing plans and specifications during design or bidding phases
- Managing and inspecting construction activities
- Performing quality assurance/control
- Scheduling and implementing site maintenance

Responsibilities:
The employee will support the FMD-B division's maintenance workload in support of the NIST scientific mission.
Duties include:
- Creating Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statements (PWS), and serving as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and project manager for minor construction, alteration, renovation, repair, and maintenance services across a wide variety of facilities and specialized structures.
- Performing on-site inspections and monitoring construction operations requiring practical knowledge of engineering methods and techniques; construction practices, materials, costs, and equipment; and the ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural plans and specifications.
