We are looking for dependable, compassionate individuals who enjoy serving others and making a difference in the lives of our residents. As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, tray service, kitchen sanitation, and food service while ensuring meals are served safely, accurately, and with exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a team player who values cleanliness, resident satisfaction, and quality care. Previous food service experience is preferred but not required—we're happy to train motivated individuals who are ready to grow with our team.
As a Dietary Aide, you will play an essential role in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, appetizing meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment. You will work alongside an experienced dietary team to prepare meal trays, assist with food service, maintain sanitation standards, and help create a positive dining experience for every resident.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, assemble, and serve resident meals according to prescribed diets and meal schedules.
- Set up and deliver meal trays and food service carts accurately and on time.
- Serve meals and beverages while providing courteous, resident-centered service.
- Collect and bus meal trays after service.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, labeling, and storage.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, dishes, utensils, and food service equipment.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report equipment concerns promptly.
- Follow all food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation guidelines.
- Observe resident dietary restrictions and therapeutic diet orders.
- Work cooperatively with nursing staff and other departments to ensure quality resident care.
- Attend required in-service education and training programs.
- Protect resident privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow Residents' Rights, facility policies, Corporate Integrity standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager or supervisor.
