Boulder County Community Services Department is seeking to hire a Data Analyst. Assists Contracts and Compliance Coordinator and Business Operations Team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of accurate databases to support data driven decision making and reporting to the state. Ensures data quality, uses software systems to support data collection efforts, conducts data analysis, and develops reports to support Area Agency on Aging (AAA) program managers and other stakeholders.
This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm. This position will work out of 3482 Broadway St., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $57,912.00 - $70,608.00 Annually
Tentative Hiring Timeline:
New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire, in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month. Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of 6 years of combined education and experience in a related field, including reporting, computer science, and/or data analytics experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Internal grant funded service delivery reporting
- Coordinate with Fiscal Compliance monthly reimbursement reconciliation
- Support program evaluation and implementation efforts
- Conduct audits of SUDS data to review accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Support internal programs service delivery processes and methods
- As SUDS Administrator, train providers and staff to ensure accurate and timely data entry
- Be a subject matter expert on all information systems used within AAA
- Supports efforts to link and integrate data from various repositories (SUDS, STARS, SUA Google docs, MS Forms, and paper). Lead efforts for centralized data dashboard
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual service delivery and client demographics reports
- Respond to ad-hoc data requests from staff and community partners and regular support to Aging Policy Advocate & Planner
- Facilitate quarterly program income processes
- Facilitate annual State Unit on Aging performance measure processes
- Performs related work, as required
- May be reassigned during emergency situations

- Bachelor's Degree in information services, computer science information services or related field
- Federal and/or state grant reporting
- Proficiency in Excel, and MS Office Programs
- Experience using Salesforce
- Experience using dashboard software such as Tableau or MS-PowerBI
- Familiarity with database concepts (database inquiries, data dictionaries, entity relationship diagrams, data modeling, data normalization, etc.)
- Considerable knowledge in methods, procedures and practices of data and system analysis.
- Considerable knowledge, understanding, and effective utilization of job-related information, technical skills and procedures.
- Ability to conduct metric, demographic and statistical studies, and to develop appropriate recommendations integral to data analysis.
- Ability to troubleshoot a variety of problems.
- Ability to work well with other employees and staff in other departments or agencies and demonstrate the ability to interact with others that results in cooperation, mutual respect and common benefit.
