• Salary Range $40,000 - $44,000 annually ($28-$31 per hour) This is a 10 month position following an August through May school year calendar.

BCD preschool assistant teaching responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Work in collaboration and partnership with BCD’s preschool team
• Assist lead teacher in preparing instructional materials
• Maintain a PDIS profile and complete 15 hours of professional development including required annual trainings
• Abide by State of Colorado Childcare and Boulder County Public Health rules and regulations
• Ensure safety of children at all times
• Oversee lunch, snack, naptime, and assist with hygiene routines
• Keep classroom and playground safe, clean and organized
• Support enrollment and retention by assisting in tours, events and other school outreach activities
• Other duties as assigned by Head of School

Requirements

Preschool Assistant Teacher Qualifications & Skills - Ideal Candidate will:

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education preferred. Combination of experience working with children and related coursework is also acceptable.
• Colorado Shines PDIS level 2 or higher
• Be cleared by all required, State, Federal and State of Colorado TRAILS system
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, run and lift or carry children
• Love working with young children in a preschool environment
• Be a team player, open minded, flexible, and reflective
• Commit to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive school community

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
