Radiology Tech - CU Sports Medicine

$29.22 - $43.83 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
$2.50/hr for evening and weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for CU Sports Medicine to perform a full range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. This role is responsible for consistently producing high-quality images that support accurate diagnoses and exceptional patient care.

Qualifications
Degree from Radiological Technology school as required by ARRT registration.
ARRT registered or registry eligible
BLS required by end of conditional period.
Responsibilities
Delivers compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe and professional imaging environment.
Performs diagnostic radiographic exams using proper positioning techniques, radiation safety protocols, and sound clinical judgment to capture high-quality images.
Accurately identifies and documents anatomy and pathology, ensuring optimal image quality for radiologist interpretation.
Assists radiologists and providers during image-guided and minimally invasive procedures, ensuring proper sterile technique and patient comfort.
Safely transports patients to and from imaging suites, prioritizing patient safety, dignity, and timely workflow.
Administers contrast agents (oral, rectal, or intravenous) in accordance with departmental protocols and licensure requirements.
Conducts routine equipment cleaning and maintenance; promptly reports malfunctions or safety issues to the Imaging Supervisor or Director.
Actively participates in departmental quality assurance and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives.
Coordinates and schedules imaging exams, verifying orders and preparing exam rooms as needed.
Mentors and trains new technologists and radiology students, promoting clinical excellence and adherence to protocols.
Reviews patient history, clinical indications, and prior imaging to determine necessity of additional views or imaging techniques.
Utilizes radiology information systems (RIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) to manage imaging workflow and documentation.
