GENERAL PURPOSE:
We are seeking a dedicated Per Diem Registered Nurse – OR Circulator to join our Surgical Services Department at Boulder City Hospital. This role is responsible for providing high-quality, individualized care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, and ensuring all aspects of the operating room function efficiently and effectively.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Deliver direct, individualized patient care in accordance with Boulder City Hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines within the surgical setting.
Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures, supporting the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.
Promote the restoration of health and achievement of patient health goals through:
Comprehensive patient assessment
Care planning
Implementation and evaluation of care related to surgical services
Coordinate communication among the surgical team, patients, and their families as appropriate.
Demonstrate efficiency in the delivery of services that exceed patient expectations while supporting improved clinical and financial outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient’s medical record.
Adhere to infection control and safety procedures in all areas of the operating room.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada.
Minimum of 1 year of recent OR Circulator experience preferred.
BLS and ACLS certifications required (must be current).
Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexible schedule availability is a must, including the ability to work on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
