Job Summary
Bottoms Up Bar Services, a husband & wife owned mobile bar company that provides professional bartending services for weddings and private events throughout West Michigan. We are currently seeking an energetic, reliable, and personable Bartender to join our growing event team.
In this role, you will craft exceptional drinks, deliver outstanding customer service, and create memorable experiences for our guests. Your professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail will help foster a lively atmosphere for the day's event.
As a key member of our team, you will ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest standards of responsible alcohol service. This 1099 paid position offers a dynamic work environment where your skills in beverage preparation, customer interaction, and multitasking will shine.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, ensuring adherence to legal drinking age laws and responsible service policies
- Restock bar supplies efficiently during shifts to ensure seamless service continuity
Skills
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet settings
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during event
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly while adhering to all legal requirements and company policies
- Familiarity with event menu
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with event coordinator, event couple, and other teammates
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bartending experience (required)
- Michigan TIPS Certification (required)
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, and wine service
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced event environment
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to events
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and assist with bar setup/breakdown
- Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance
Schedule
- Primarily weekends throughout the wedding season
- Flexible, event-based scheduling
