Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial and farm settings. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical issues efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure ongoing safety compliance.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems using diagnostic techniques.
- Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently while working on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Collaborate with construction teams and contractors during new installations or upgrades of commercial electrical systems.
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics accurately to plan wiring routes for low voltage, high voltage, or industrial electrical systems.
- Ensure all work aligns with local electrical codes and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial or commercial electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and blueprints reading skills.
- Experience working with high-voltage wiring and industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and power tools.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems is highly desirable.
- Construction site experience or renovation project background is preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety protocols.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles with appropriate training.
