Position Summary
Bottcher is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Specialist to manage the daily flow of outgoing and incoming materials, with a strong focus on shipments of rubber rollers. This role requires hands‑on experience preparing freight, creating accurate Bills of Lading (BOLs), and coordinating shipments with carriers to ensure on‑time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and ship finished rubber rollers to domestic customers using LTL, freight, and parcel carriers
- Create, review, and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs) and all required shipping documentation
- Verify shipment accuracy, packaging requirements, and labeling for oversized or heavy rollers
- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and inspect for damage
- Enter shipping and receiving data into ERP or shipping software
- Coordinate daily pickups with carriers and communicate shipping needs to internal teams
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized shipping/receiving area
- Assist with inventory counts and material staging for production
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of domestic freight processes and BOL creation
- Experience with LTL carriers, freight scheduling, and shipment tracking
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and handle large rubber rollers
- Forklift experience (certification preferred)
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP or shipping systems
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with production and customer service teams
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
