Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Attorney role based in Providence, RI. The Attorney will handle plaintiff personal injury matters, including investigating claims, legal research, and managing cases from intake through resolution. Responsibilities include providing legal advice to clients, negotiating with insurance companies and opposing counsel, preparing for and participating in hearings, mediations, and trials, and maintaining accurate, timely case documentation. The Attorney will collaborate with other team members, contribute to firm strategy and advocacy efforts, and support the firm’s commitment to client-centered service and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law with demonstrated experience in plaintiff personal injury practice.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law as it relates to injury and workplace claims is beneficial.
- Ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice and communicate complex issues in an accessible manner.
- Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to personal injury litigation.
- Skilled in Negotiation with insurers and opposing counsel to achieve fair settlements and outcomes.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission in good standing to the Rhode Island bar; Massachusetts admission is a plus.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting litigation documents and presenting arguments in court.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
