RN Coordinator - Infusion, Procedure & Provider-Based Outpatient Clinic

JOB SUMMARY:

The RN Coordinator oversees daily clinical and operational functions for Bothwell’s Infusion/Procedure Clinic and provider‑based outpatient clinic. The role ensures safe, efficient, patient‑centered care while coordinating staff, managing patient flow, supporting providers, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
The RN Coordinator reports directly to the Director Acute Inpatient Services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Education:
a.)RN licensure in Missouri; BSN preferred.

2.Licensure/Certification:
a.)BLS required; ACLS preferred/required depending on services.

Work Experience:
a.)Three years of clinical experience preferred; infusion, procedural, ambulatory, med‑surg, or oncology experience strongly preferred.
b.) Leadership or charge experience preferred.
     

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

Direct nursing care as needed; manage infusion therapies, outpatient procedures, pre‑procedure readiness, monitoring, and emergency response. “Coordinates the daily clinical activities…to promote safe, timely, and efficient patient care.”

Partner with physicians and APPs to streamline workflow, rooming, assessments, medication reconciliation, documentation, and follow‑up.

Adjust staffing, review schedules, anticipate barriers, manage add‑ons, and optimize throughput across departments.

Provide daily guidance, onboarding, competency validation, coaching, and promote professionalism, teamwork, and psychological safety.

Monitor compliance with policies, infection prevention, medication safety, and performance indicators; support PI initiatives and survey readiness.

Ensure adherence to standards, collaborate with Pharmacy, oversee high‑risk medication processes, and ensure staff competency.

Maintain compliance with CMS, Missouri regulations, hospital policies, and documentation standards; support policy development and recordkeeping.

Promote compassionate care, address concerns, communicate clearly about schedules and expectations, and identify improvement opportunities.

Serve as liaison across departments; communicate changes, concerns, and resource needs; participate in interdisciplinary meetings.

Maintain readiness for medical emergencies, ensure equipment checks, and participate in drills.

Ability to prioritize multiple demands, support staff, uphold safety and regulatory standards, and maintain EHR proficiency.

Expected to balance direct care with operational oversight, delegate appropriately, and maintain visibility and accountability.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works indoors in well-lighted and ventilated cool environment.

Prolonged standing & walking with exposure to all patient elements.

5.   Occasionally subjected to irregular hours.

6.   Subject to frequent interruptions.
