Deputy Treasurer- Full Time
Resumes are being accepted for the position of full-time Deputy Treasurer to work in the Botetourt County Treasurer’s Office. Candidate will perform responsible, skilled, clerical work, assisting with the operation of the Treasurer’s Office. Primary tasks include receiving tax payments, including real estate, personal property, and state income tax, balancing a cash drawer, use of a computer including tax, accounting and Microsoft Office programs, use of fax, use of a 10 key calculator, and other office machines.
Candidate must have education or prior experience with cashiering as well as customer service experience; must also possess excellent public relations and communication skills, be motivated and punctual; willing to be cross trained within the office; be available to participate in on-going educational classes.
