Job Summary
Candidate will perform responsible, skilled, clerical work, assisting with the operation of the Treasurer’s Office. Primary tasks include receiving tax payments, including real estate, personal property, and state income tax, balancing a cash drawer, use of a computer including tax, accounting and Microsoft Office programs, use of fax, use of 10 key calculator, and other office machines.
Candidate must have education or prior experience with cashiering as well as customer service experience; must also possess excellent public relations and communication skills, be motivated and punctual; willing to be cross trained within the office; be available to participate in on-going educational classes.

Responsibilities:
Answering phones and waiting on taxpayers, processing mail, processing tax payments along with processing transmittals from other departments, balancing a cash drawer daily (which requires counting cash and adding checks and misc. cash tickets), performing collections on delinquent accounts, ability to arrive in the office on time.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel
- Some knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, the ability to work closely and well with others
Pay: $35,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
