Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced statistical machine learning, reinforcement learning, and gen-AI-driven decision models for supply chain and operations optimization.
- Design scalable algorithms for demand forecasting, risk management, strategic sourcing, inventory control and supply chain optimization, pricing and revenue management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and industry partners to translate research into practical solutions.
- Publish high-impact research in leading journals (e.g., Management Science, Operations Research, MSOM, POM, JASA, JMLR etc.).
- Assist in mentoring graduate students and contributing to grant proposals.
- Participate in teaching undergraduate courses (6 credit hours per year)
- Ph.D. in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong background in convex analysis, statistical machine learning (reinforcement learning, LLM and generative modeling), stochastic modeling and optimization.
- Proficiency in programming (Python, R, Julia, or similar) and experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Prior research in statistical learning and online optimization, dynamic pricing and revenue optimization, supply chain and operations management is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
