What You’ll Do
- Provide analysis and business support to facilitate research initiatives and general operations.
- Advise College leadership on strategic initiatives and their financial impact.
- Interpret and apply university, federal, and sponsor policies and procedures.
- Authorize and approve financial transactions while maintaining internal control compliance.
- Act as a fiduciary to manage risk and safeguard resources.
- Collaborate with deans, department heads, faculty, and staff on finance and business matters.
- Lead and direct business managers, professional staff, and support staff to deliver high-quality, efficient services.
What We're Looking For
Education and Experience
Qualified Candidates Will Need
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field of study
- 6 years of experience in business management, finance, or related field. Experience managing others
- Ability to analyze, interpret and implement University policies and procedures
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent leadership, planning, strategic thinking, problem-solving, organizational, project management, process management and customer service skills
- Demonstrated quantitative analytical skills and ability to solve complicated problems with little or no precedential guidance. Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels
- Must be able to foster a participative supervisory style that utilizes respect and teamwork to successfully guide the work of others
- Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting business processes (e.g. SAP, etc)
- Personal computer and related software skills (spreadsheet, word processing, internet, database, etc.)
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work with frequent interruption (from summary)
