FULL-TIME – 40 hours per week
Weekly rotating shifts:
11 AM - 7 PM for four days (MON-FRI) and 8 AM - 4 PM on SAT
11 AM - 7 PM for five days (MON - FRI)
JOB INFORMATION:
In compliance with Company, contracted site, and local, state, and federal rules, the shipping department is the final step in the workflow to accurately, efficiently, and safely provide prescription medications and to populations in long-term care facilities in PA and/or nationally.
Each shipping department production worker performs a variety of tasks each shift, such as, but not limited to:
- Collecting medication cards after they are processed by the pharmacists
- Checking medication cards for errors
- Sorting the medications according to the destination
- Scanning and boxing medications
- Completing duties that close out the current day and/or prepare the department for the next day
Work must be completed by the daily cut-off time by which all prescription requests must be processed, boxed, and ready for truck pick-up. Production and error metrics are collected and viewed to guide operational and staffing decisions.
The starting pay rate for this job function is considered competitive. Candidates with successful similar experience of a year or more may be offered a higher rate. Determination of the success of prior relevant experience may be based on information from professional reference checks.
This job requires the incumbent to stand and walk 100% of their work time. This job also requires bending, crouching, and reaching to gather medications and supplies as well as to maintain the cleanliness and organization of one's workspace and the general work area.
