The lab integrates cell culture, molecular biology, and in vivo wound models to uncover fundamental mechanisms of tissue repair and regeneration.

This position provides an exceptional opportunity to contribute to active NIH-funded research projects, gain advanced technical skills, and participate in a collaborative, high-energy academic environment. It is particularly suited for a recent graduate with at least one year of prior research experience who is interested in pursuing graduate or medical training in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform molecular assays including RNA/protein extraction, qRT-PCR, and Western blotting
  • Support primary cell culture experiments and standard laboratory workflows
  • Collaborate closely with postdocs, graduate students, and staff scientists on NIH-funded studies
  • Maintain lab organization, inventory, protocols, and equipment

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • At least one year of hands-on research experience (undergraduate or post-graduate)
  • Familiarity with molecular biology methods (RNA/protein isolation, qRT-PCR, Western blotting)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with mouse handling and basic animal procedures
  • Exposure to histology, microscopy, or wound healing models
  • Interest in aging or senescence biology
  • Enthusiasm for learning new techniques and contributing to publications
