We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our Ophthalmology surgery center team. Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments and medical devices according to established sterilization protocols.
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and other processing equipment while adhering to aseptic techniques and safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of instruments and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels and timely reordering.
• Perform routine quality checks on sterilized items to verify cleanliness, functionality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Document sterilization cycles, maintenance activities, and equipment logs thoroughly for accountability and traceability.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to understand instrument requirements and ensure availability of sterile supplies for procedures.
• Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent contamination and cross-infection within the sterile processing area.
• Stay updated on best practices in sterile processing, including advances in sterilization technology and regulatory compliance standards.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques, including cleaning, sterilization, packaging, and storage of medical instruments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology used in a surgical setting for clear communication with clinical staff.
• Expertise in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during instrument handling and processing.
