Role Description
Boston School of Music Arts is seeking to hire a Violin Faculty member (up to 30 hours per week) for on-site teaching. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting private and small group Violin and Cello lessons to students of all ages and levels, as well as small ensembles. They will work with the Director of Music to maintain an organized curriculum and prepare students for recitals and other performances. The role is located in Dorchester, MA.
Qualifications
- Experience teaching Violin and beginning Cello to students ages 5 and up - all levels
- A degree in Music or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized for work with our student progress systems
- Flexibility and availability to work on the weekends day and afternoon/early evening and weekday evenings
- Knowledge of various styles of music and the ability to teach diverse genres
- Enthusiasm for music and teaching, with an ability to inspire students to learn and enjoy music
