Location: Boston's Pizza & Best Western Downtown Casper Hotel
Boston's Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar is a vibrant and high-energy dining spot located inside The Best Western Downtown Casper Hotel offering 200 comfortable guest rooms and 39,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting and event space. serving hotel guests, locals, and event attendees. As the Host or Hostess at Boston's Pizza, you are the Director of First Impressions. You are the first and last person our guests interact with, setting the tone for their entire dining experience.
This is a critical role in our fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be the "air traffic controller" of the dining room, managing the flow of guests, taking reservations, and coordinating with the service and kitchen teams to ensure a seamless operation. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and energetic person who can remain calm and professional under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Greet Guests: Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional demeanor the moment they walk in.
Manage the Floor: Manage the waitlist and reservation system, providing accurate wait times and seating guests efficiently.
Coordinate Sections: Rotate and balance server sections to ensure all tables receive prompt service and no server is overwhelmed.
Handle Phone & To-Go Orders: Answer restaurant phone calls, take reservations, and manage all incoming To-Go and delivery orders, ensuring they are entered accurately, packaged correctly, and processed for payment.
Communicate: Act as the central communication hub between servers, bartenders, and managers regarding table status, guest needs, and wait times.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the host stand, lobby, and entryway clean, stocked, and organized at all times.
Be a Team Player: Assist the service team as needed, including bussing tables, refilling water, and helping to reset tables during peak rushes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous customer service experience is required; prior host or restaurant experience is highly preferred.
A genuinely positive, energetic, and welcoming personality.
Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift (up to 8 hours).
Exceptional communication and organization skills.
The ability to multitask and remain calm and courteous in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Experience with POS systems and reservation software is a plus.
Must have flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
