Note: Interviews will be held virtually. Working the summer is optional and a contingent offer. Employment for the summer is seasonal/temporary. All individuals are required to commit to the duration of their assignment, with no exception.

Must be willing to travel to all of the City of Boston neighborhood areas. Initial assignments will vary from four to nine weeks.
Food Service Workers will be assigned to either on-site cooking locations or satellite meal locations; as needed.
Job Description:
The Food and Nutrition Services Department will be sponsoring the City of Boston's Summer Food Services Program. The goal of the program is to provide nutritious meals to children who are attending various community centers and public/private agency summer programs in the City of Boston. The program will primarily operate Monday through Friday. This position is required to work the duration of the Summer Program; as needed. Mandatory training will be provided.
Terms:
Stipend Opportunity, $19.00 per hour, 4 hours a day, Regular workday (may vary depending upon the site, and the number of people assigned).

- Serving and accounting for meals given to children
- Assists with record keeping.
- Ensures the health and safety of students and personnel by instructions in adherence to The Massachusetts Sanitary Code.
- Maintaining a clean site.
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependability
- Basic math skills
- Must have good attendance and good evaluations
- Prior food service experience.
