Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide essential support in a dental clinic environment, assisting the dentist during procedures and ensuring a positive experience for our pediatric patients. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with dental systems will be crucial in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
- Take medical imaging, including Bitewing and Panoramic X-rays
- Manage patient records using Open Dental and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide comfort to children during treatments, addressing their concerns and making them feel at ease.
- Preform prophy cleanings and educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment, including X-ray systems.
- Proficiency in infection control standards within a dental environment.
- Experience with Open dental or similar dental software systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in interacting with children and their guardians.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) (Preferred)
