About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team. As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards to provide quality care to our patients. You will work closely with our Provider Relations team to maintain positive relationships with our network of healthcare providers. Your attention to detail and ability to navigate the complex world of medical insurance and Medicaid will be critical to your success in this role. Ultimately, your work will contribute to the overall success of our healthcare organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- 2 years of experience in a medical setting
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry
- Experience with medical insurance and Medicaid
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in medical credentialing
- Experience with ICD-9 and CPT coding
Responsibilities:
- Verify and maintain accurate provider information in our credentialing database
- Ensure that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards to provide quality care to our patients
- Collaborate with our Provider Relations team to maintain positive relationships with our network of healthcare providers
- Monitor and track provider credentialing status and ensure timely renewals
- Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain missing information and resolve any credentialing issues
Skills:
As a Credentialing Specialist, you will use your strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry to ensure that all healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards to provide quality care to our patients. Your experience with medical insurance and Medicaid will be critical to your success in navigating the complex world of healthcare. You will use your excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to verify and maintain accurate provider information in our credentialing database. Additionally, your communication skills will be essential in collaborating with our Provider Relations team and healthcare providers to resolve any credentialing issues.
