The Billing Rep reports directly to Supervisor – Billing The Billing Representative is expected to:
- Handle high profile and special billing arrangements to ensure cases are processed smoothly. Primary
- Reconcile monthly list bills, process payments
- Process Schedule A/5500 Requests
- Provide customer service through written and verbal correspondence to internal/external stakeholders; recognize what needs to be done to meet complex stakeholder needs and demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to meet those requirements.
- Process various mainframe transactions to change or correct Premium records.
- Receive and process premium for Group cases
- Handle complex combined payments for Worksite and Group products for assigned cases
- Create various queries to assist and respond to group clients and brokers
- Must comply with privacy guidelines; will protect the privacy of customer information
- Performs other duties and/or projects as needed or required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma required; Associates Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of equivalent business experience required. Knowledge Requirements:
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize a high volume of multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to context, substance and detail while meeting goals and strict deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively build and extend relationships.
- Shows initiative with a “can do attitude” and the ability to implement changes that will improve workflow.
- Strong computer skills using MS Office.
- Insurance knowledge is a plus.
