The Actuarial Analyst reports directly to the 2nd VP Actuary.
Actuarial Analyst responsibilities include:
- Responding to requests from Boston Mutual’s Customer Experience team. This entails providing policy values, illustrations, and reproducing duplicate policies.
- Working with Information Technology team to correct policy values.
- Preparing Financial Reports, Exhibit 8 and other related reports, on monthly basis
- Preparing various year-end report for the Annual Statement.
- Preparing reports for A.M. Best, including Top 20 Cases and Producers.
- Preparing reports for auditors related to premiums
- Assisting on an ad hoc basis on work related to the BML Forward (System Replacement Program)
- Preparing expense and investment income reports for both the Product Development and Financial Reporting teams.
- Answering and researching questions from management.
Qualifications
Education: College Degree – Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business
Experience: 2 year experience in Actuarial Science
Knowledge Requirements: excellent PC skills – Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
Hybrid Work Model
At our Canton location, employees will be on site Monday - Thursday with Friday being a remote day.
