Boston Mountain Rural Health Center (BMRHC) is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Patient Referral Specialist to join our Green Forest clinic team. In this important role, you will help ensure patients receive timely access to specialty care and other healthcare services by coordinating referrals and appointments as directed by providers.
As a Patient Referral Specialist, you will work closely with patients, providers, hospitals, and specialty clinics to facilitate seamless care coordination and support positive health outcomes. Your efforts will play a vital role in helping patients navigate their healthcare journey and receive the quality care they deserve.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate referral appointments for patients as ordered by healthcare providers.
- Communicate with hospitals, specialty clinics, and outpatient facilities to schedule and manage referrals.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of referral activities.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare organizations to support continuity of care.
- Assist in delivering an exceptional patient experience through professional, courteous service.
Schedule
Our clinic hours are:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.
- Friday: 7:45 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Previous medical office or healthcare administrative experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
