Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated, top performing IT Support Consultant to join our Boston-area team. In this role you will provide professional, friendly, and creative IT support - both in person and remotely. The right candidate will help our clients realize technology improvements in their organizations, assist in regular maintenance and troubleshooting, and lead projects that touch upon all aspects of professional IT systems.
Day to day, that means keeping our shared support queue moving so nothing falls through the cracks, being the friendly voice clients hear when something isn't working, and owning the recurring work that keeps client environments healthy – proactively managing Microsoft 365 and Entra/Intune environments, troubleshooting Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity, handling new-hire and departure IT setup for clients, coordinating software licensing, and keeping documentation sharp enough that any of us can jump in when needed. As you grow into the role, there's plenty of room to take on more complex client projects, more client industries than you can shake a finger at, and highly technical infrastructure work that you’ve been dreaming of being allowed to touch, every night.

Requirements:
- College graduate with professional communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, love to connect with people and technology
- Ability to develop good rapport, enjoy working with people both remotely and on-site
- Excellent written and verbal skills - communication is 80% of the job – don’t forget a sense of humor!
- Strong problem solving, organization and analytical skills
- Enthusiasm for technology and creative solutions
- Prior IT support experience
- Comfortable owning a ticket queue and juggling multiple client priorities at once
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and work within new industry verticals
- Comfortable working with people of all levels with a an eye towards excellent customer service
Experience with the following technologies preferred:
- MS: Mastery of all things M365, Windows, Windows Server, Azure AD, Domains, Profiles, Policies, Remote Desktop Services, MS Office, Outlook email and calendaring, Exchange concepts and troubleshooting
- Microsoft 365 and Entra ID/Intune administration — user, license, and device management
- Networking concepts and troubleshooting capabilities, including Wi-Fi and VPN/firewall (e.g., Fortinet/Meraki/Ubiquiti)
- Cloud services management and migrations — Google Apps, MS365, SharePoint, OneDrive, SSO Troubleshooting and Concepts, you name it!
- Server virtualization technologies
- Amazon Web Services
- Backup technologies — cloud / local / NAS / understanding of DR / BCP
- RMM and remote support tooling (e.g., N-able, ScreenConnect, Ninja)
- Ticketing/helpdesk/project platforms (e.g., Zendesk, Trello)
- Basic understanding of PowerShell scripting for admin tasks and reporting
- MFA and endpoint security tooling (e.g., Okta, YubiKey/FIDO2, endpoint AV)
- Software license and vendor management platforms (e.g., Pax8, understanding of MSFT product licensing)
- Strong CyberSecurity and Network Fundamentals and a desire to learn more

We are a primarily T&E driven professional services company. This role offers a competitive hourly wage - this is a hybrid-based hourly role.
