About Us: We are a growing practice expanding into the Wellesley area. The primary purpose of this location is in administering IV therapies and injections for oncology patients including high dose IV vitamin C, mistletoe, and IM nutrients. We provide adjunctive care for most cancer types, from stage 0 to stage 4, primary prevention, and secondary prevention. We prioritize clinical excellence, patient experience, and efficiency.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced RN with strong IV skills who is comfortable working independently in a clinical setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who enjoys autonomy, patient interaction, and a wellness-focused environment and is interested in integrative medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Record vitals
- Perform IV placement and administer infusions following aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Monitor patients during infusions and respond to any adverse reactions
- Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, medication effects, and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate medical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) system
- Prepare IV formulations per established protocols
- Ensure a high-quality, compassionate, professional patient experience in an efficient manner
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- Strong IV insertion skills (including difficult access)
- Experience with phlebotomy in hospital, oncology, or wellness setting, medication administration via IV routes
- Prior exposure to specialized areas such as oncology infusion centers or hospice & palliative medicine is highly desirable
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Ability to work independently and manage patient flow
Compensation:
- $45–$60/hour depending on experience
- Minimum shift guarantee
Schedule Details:
- Initially 1–2 fixed days per week
- Days must be fixed each week, but open to discussing which non-consecutive days work best for the candidate
- Opportunity for growth as patient volume increases
