About The Role
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reconciling inventory across our stores, warehouses, and distribution centers. This role plays an important part in ensuring inventory accuracy, identifying recurring issues, and helping teams implement consistent processes for managing damaged and defective merchandise. They will work closely with operations, finance, store, warehouse, and distribution center teams to maintain accurate inventory records, support inventory counts, and identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes.
Schedule - Sunday through Thursday (First shift hours)
What you will be doing each day:
- Monitor, track, and reconcile damaged or defective inventory across stores, warehouses, and distribution centers
- Partner with operations teams to implement standardized processes for handling damaged and defective goods
- Use inventory management software to track, maintain, and report on inventory levels
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring inventory issues and recommend process improvements
- Assist with annual and monthly cycle inventory counts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management
- Work with finance teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting of inventory write-offs
- Provide training and guidance to store and warehouse staff on inventory procedures and best practices
What You Should Know:

This position will be based primarily at our Stevens Point Distribution Center, with interaction and support at our store locations
- This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- You will work with multiple teams across the organization, making strong communication and organizational skills essential
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is important
- Strong analytical skills are needed to review inventory information, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required; experience with inventory management systems is strongly preferred
- Experience with Storis or similar inventory management software is preferred
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with store, warehouse, operations, and finance teams is essential
We are looking for individuals with:

2–4 years of experience in inventory management, merchandising operations, supply chain, or a related field preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory management systems
- Experience with Storis or similar inventory management software preferred
- Ability to establish priorities, follow processes, and work collaboratively with multiple teams
- Positive, professional attitude with peers, management, and store and warehouse teams
