Quality Inspector
Summary: Responsible for accurate, timely and efficient performance of the Quality Department. Inspecting production and vendor products, and processing paperwork for these items in a timely fashion by performing the following duties.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

- Responsible for prompt and timely completion of all work tasks assigned.*
- Inspecting the materials produced by various departments.*
- Using tools such as a tape measure, micrometer, calipers to measure products.*
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.*
- Ensures Quality Control Release signature or authorization is completed in a timely manner before product/job shipment.*
- Obtains suitable documentation or details on work performed by outside vendors, including processing, quantities, manufacturing tolerances and delivery schedule, and performs a quality inspection of such work when received at Ozark Steel.*
- Coordinates with Quality Manager and Shipping Department to ensure products required are available for shipping in a timely fashion.*
- Follows appropriate safety procedures.*
- Report to shift duty in a timely manner as scheduled and follow company guidelines for attendance, performance, and employee responsibilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management*.
