What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Rep position at Boston Granite Exchange?
We are looking for an Outside Sales Representative to drive the growth and development of BGE’s countertop products within the Massachusetts and neighboring markets, focusing on fabricators and kitchen & bath (K&B) professionals. This role will be key in expanding sales and increasing margins for our products.
To succeed in this role, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Gain a deep understanding of our products, competitors, and how to effectively position our offerings to overcome competitive challenges.
- Build and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers within your assigned territory.
- Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities with current customers and prospects.
- Provide accurate price quotes, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for customer orders.
- Resolve customer issues, including delivery, returns, and credits, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Educate customers about our products and provide training as necessary.
- Manage displays, samples, and other sales tools to support customers.
- Utilize marketing materials such as catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral to increase product visibility and sales.
- Attend trade shows and industry events as required.
- Travel 80% of the time within the assigned sales territory.
- Perform additional duties as requested.
