Fire Protection Engineer

Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join our team! This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

• Implements fire protection programs and procedures to eliminate and/or mitigate personnel injury and property damage due to fire and explosion. Implements programs and procedures to ensure employee and facility safety in accordance with OSHA, NFPA, DOE and Life Safety Code requirements. 
• Designs, inspects, and specifies test, and maintenance requirements for fire protection systems and equipment to ensure that they operate correctly and perform to standards. 
• Develops and maintains Fire Hazards Analyses for nuclear and other significant risk facilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree plus 0 - 4 years of direct experience required, or MS with 0 - 3 years' experience.
• Individuals that do not have a BA or BS degree will be considered on a two (2) to one (1) basis; two (2) years' experience will equal one (1) year of education or possessing relevant task-specific years' experience deemed acceptable by the Client.
• Successful drug screening.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• BA/BS Degree in a technical discipline, plus 18 years plus of direct experience required, or an MS with 15 years' experience.
