What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service/Ticket Agent - Salem, NH position at Boston Express Bus?
Boston Express is currently seeking applicants for a position on our team of Ticket Agents / Customer Service Representatives. Responsibilities include making all of our callers and travelers feel comfortable and appreciated, swiftly and correctly completing transactions with our Windows-based ticketing computers and performing light cleaning duties between bus schedules to keep our Salem NH terminal sparkling. This is not a remote position.
We are looking for a part-time (15-20 hours / 3-4 shifts per week) afternoon/evening (12:00 pm 5:30 pm) ticket agent / customer service rep. Open shifts require some Saturday and/or Sunday and holiday availability, which is a MUST for all applicants - please do not apply if you are not willing to work weekend and/or holiday shifts. This position requires someone who works well alone and is independent, as well as the ability to work in a team environment when necessary.
What you can expect from us:
- Thorough training and a very competitive hourly rate of up to $17.00 per hour to start, with a performance-based increase after 90 days.

Position expectations include:
- Computer literate with keyboarding skills
- Ability to multitask when terminal is busy
- Able to answer informational calls and direct passengers with patience
- Sell tickets and handle cash drawer
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Bilingual language skills is a plus
