We are seeking an experienced and independent Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and modification of our buildings, equipment, and grounds. In this role, you will diagnose complex technical issues, execute skilled trades work, and ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations with minimal supervision. This position also includes a leadership component, providing technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians.

- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance inspections to proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve advanced facility and mechanical system issues.
- Skilled Trades & Infrastructure: Perform skilled carpentry, drywall repair, and minor construction projects to maintain and improve facility infrastructure.
- Systems & Compliance: Install, calibrate, and maintain building systems and equipment in strict accordance with codes, standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Operations & Work Orders: Respond to service requests and prioritize daily maintenance activities to minimize operational disruptions.
- Records & Inventory: Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, materials used, and compliance activities. Monitor inventory levels, coordinate procurement, and manage tool/parts usage.
- Safety & Logistics: Serve as an active member of the onsite safety team and assist with logistics documentation and receiving.
- Collaboration & Mentorship: Provide training and technical guidance to junior maintenance technicians. Coordinate directly with contractors, vendors, and internal teams on complex upgrades.
- Advanced knowledge of general building systems maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance compliance.
- Proficiency in skilled trades, including carpentry, painting, and minor construction work.
- Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and building plans.
- Highly developed diagnostic skills to resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to document activities and mentor team members.
- Experience: 7 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building systems repair, or skilled trades.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or trade school training in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (such as OSHA safety training) are preferred.
