What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outbound Sales Development Representative position at Boston Dynamics?
We are seeking an Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) to develop and support the sales pipeline through strategic, outbound initiatives across a number of industrial applications. In this role, you will be a critical member of our growing marketing organization, focusing on building strong and mutually beneficial relationships with sales, target prospects, strategic accounts, and partners.
As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at deep-dive research, cold prospecting, initiating new relationships with strategic contacts, and setting up Sales Managers for success. The SDR should be a quick learner who has strong communication skills and an ability to showcase our solutions in a compelling way.
Day To Day Activities

Day To Day Activities
- Execute targeted, outbound prospecting campaigns (email and phone) to new potential prospects and engage with key contacts within identified strategic accounts
- Research and map out target accounts and industries to identify high-potential prospects
- Arrange and present introductory calls to qualify opportunities and share background of Boston Dynamics with prospects
- Schedule on-site and virtual meetings for Sales Managers
- Partner closely with Sales Managers to identify, prioritize, and engage with strategic accounts within key industries
- Facilitate introductory demonstrations when required
- Maintain pipeline of strategic prospects and maintain regular, proactive communication
- Participate in customer-facing video and phone calls
- Understand and be able to communicate the vision for Boston Dynamics robotics solutions
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of outbound sales experience in a technology environment, with a focus on strategic or cold prospecting, preferred
- Technically savvy with demonstrated ability to learn and explain new technology
- Thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Curious and able to understand a wide range of industry applications
- Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, Hubspot, or other platforms a plus
