The Assistant Directorreports to and supports the Associate Director, Gift Acceptance, Finance &Analysis. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assessingand managing all processes involving gift and donor data collection, workingwith gift processors to address and correct any gift processing issues. Thisposition will be responsible for supervision of four full-time staff positions(Electronic Gift Processing Specialists).

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and overseeing the batching and the preparation of checks for desktop scanning
  • Managing all bank deposits
  • Maintaining and overseeing all development bank accounts, the daily distribution and assignment of wire and ACH donations
  • Functioning as the front-line liaison with banks for remote desktop deposit reporting
  • Reviewing, approving, and assigning all database transmittals for gifts of 10,000 and above
  • Reviewing, approving, and distributing all stock notifications
  • Lending support to the Fund Financial Reporting and processes

The Assistant Directorexercises considerable independent judgment in reviewing and approvingtransmittals, assigning staff workload, prioritizing daily processing,resolving processing exceptions, identifying gift batch and mail discrepancies,recommending process improvements, and escalating complex issues. They makeindependent operational decisions affecting gift processing timelines, workflowmanagement, and service delivery. They regularly resolve complex operationalissues involving gift documentation, donor intent, banking transactions, pledgeadministration, stock gifts, and wire transfers. They analyze multiple sourcesof information to determine appropriate resolution while ensuring compliancewith university policies and accounting standards.

Full-Time Equivalent HiringRange: 74,450 to 93,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
