Boston Cigar Club and Tangierino Hookah Lounge are two premium hospitality destinations known for elevated service, upscale ambiance, and a welcoming environment for guests. We are seeking a professional, reliable, and personable Doorperson/Valet Attendant to support both venues.
Position Summary
The Doorperson/Valet Attendant is the first point of contact for guests. You will greet clientele warmly, manage door flow, provide valet assistance, and help maintain a smooth, safe, and professional environment. This role requires strong customer service skills, composure, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests and open doors upon arrival and departure
- Manage guest flow during busy periods
- Check IDs and monitor entry policies when needed
- Provide valet service: safely park and retrieve guest vehicles
- Communicate wait times and venue information to guests
- Coordinate with management
- Assist with light exterior upkeep (sweeping entryway, snow/ice clearing, etc.)
- Represent the venues with professionalism and hospitality at all times
Required Qualifications
- Previous hospitality, valet, doorperson, or customer-facing experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working in nightlife and upscale lounge environments
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Dress & Appearance Standards
A polished, upscale appearance is required at all times.
- Black dress pants
- Black dress shoes
- Black button-down
- Neat, well-groomed appearance
- No athletic wear, ripped clothing, or visible overly-casual attire
- Outerwear (coats/jackets) should be clean, dark, and professional when used outside
- The doorperson/valet represents two high-end venues, so maintaining a sharp and consistent look is essential
Schedule & Pay
- Evening and weekend availability required
- Competitive hourly wage tips (valet)
- Opportunities for additional shifts during holidays and special events
