Job Summary
Boston Burger Company - Boylston St. is seeking a friendly, dependable, and energetic Restaurant Team Member to join the restaurant team. The ideal candidate will assist with guest service, order taking, food and beverage preparation, POS transactions, restaurant cleanliness, and daily operations while helping provide a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve burgers, fries, beverages, and other menu items according to restaurant standards
- Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately
- Assist with assembling and presenting food orders
- Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure accurate and timely orders
- Answer questions about menu items and available options
- Maintain clean and organized dining, counter, kitchen, and service areas
- Restock food items, beverages, packaging, condiments, utensils, and other supplies
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner
- Support coworkers during busy lunch, dinner, and peak service periods
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily restaurant duties
- Help maintain proper food presentation and service standards
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by restaurant management
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, food-service, hospitality, or retail experience is preferred but not required
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail
- Basic POS and cash-handling experience is a plus
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
