Fabricator/Welder

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.

• Demonstrate knowledge of fitting, burning, and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinking of spare parts.
• Plans properly and arranges parts to be welded in order: layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembling using straight edges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
• The ability to read, interpret, understand, and apply drawings and blueprints to jobs at hand.
• Welding spare parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead, etc.
• Clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, bolting, or grinding spare parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final project.
• Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
• Operating other accessory equipment and performing tasks necessary for welding metal such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored, plasma arc, and other types of arcs.
• Examine finished products and determines specs were met.
• Prepares and sets up areas of necessary tools and equipment for the job. Cleans up the area after the job has been completed.
• A willingness to work overtime as needed

• Qualifications:

Proven experience in welding and fabrication

• Experience in welding with certifications in aluminum, steel metals, MiG, and TIG are required.
• Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance as well as analytic reasoning.
• Must have an understanding of structural basics, including rigging, welding, erection, and reinforcements.
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills. Flexible and able to adapt to our dynamic environment. Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must always be able to operate and work in a safe manner. Safety is #1
• Can push, pull, and lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work in tight, confined, and hot spaces.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts safely
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining processes
• Have experience in working with client companies and be able to apply knowledge to the company’s, industrial, and manufacturing clientele.
• Competence in working with hand tools and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship

• Required welding with certifications: in aluminum, steel metals, MiG, and TIG.

Expected hours: 40 per week
