Provide assistance and support in Environmental Health and Safety across Shreveport operations by planning, programming, and controlling accident prevention activities. Aim to optimize protection for personnel, contractors, and third parties within company facilities and equipment, ensuring compliance with government regulations and corporate policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee Environmental Health & Safety programs, ensuring compliance with safety norms, policies, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment and reduce accidents
- Develop and manage industrial safety plans for personnel, contractors, and suppliers, applying administrative, operational, and control activities
- Advise personnel on accident prevention by promoting industrial safety standards in plant design, operation, and modifications
- Manage accident, incident, deviation, and safety observation statistics; analyze trends to recommend preventive, corrective, and operational control measures for continuous risk reduction
- Support Industrial Direction in legal processes related to accidents or occupational diseases by analyzing causality to assist case management
- Design and coordinate fire prevention plans, ensuring compliance with company programs and continuous system improvement
- Ensure all fire extinguishing equipment (extinguishers, hoses, hydrants, sprinklers, etc.) are properly maintained and operational
- Knowledge of OSHA 1910 and/or 1926 standards
- Familiarity with NFPA regulations 101 and 70E
- Certified in Crane and Forklift operation
- First Aid and CPR certified
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, 1926 standards, and NFPA regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP software applications
